Army Dogs
April 25 is Anzac Day, it marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by our troups in the First World War and is the the day that we celebrate and remember all those who have been involved in all conflicts since.
Did you know that dogs have always played a role in the military? Their incrediblly acute sense of smell, as well as their intelligence and ability to be trained easily has made them an indispensible part of the armed forces.
During the Vietnam War, 11 Labradores were trained for combat and served with the Combat Tracker Teams during the entire campaign.
Today, dogs hold a number of different jobs protecting and assisting us. Guard dogs, police dogs, sniffer dogs and therapy dogs help our community every day and it's important that we take the time to remember and appreciate the unique bond that we share with these animals.

Star Gazing with Basil
Basil looks to the stars to see what lies ahead in 2008.
Taurus
April 20 - May 20
Strong and determined, the Taurus dog is very much a home body, preferring the comfort and security of the family home to the great outdoors.
This year your humans will be spending a lot more time at home so take advantage of this time to take naps on their feet and snuggle up to them on the couch. The more time they spend at home the more opportunities you have to request treats and lots of affection!

Q & A - Big Dogs
Q. My big dog Brutus eats a lot, so mostly we feed him a diet of raw meat and table scraps, but I think it would be nice to give him a treat once in a while, any suggestions?
A. It's a great idea to treat your dog occassionally. Big dogs eat big amounts and if you're feeding your pet a diet made up mostly of raw meat, bones and table scraps, he'll really enjoy being treated to a weekly dinner of 4Legs!
Not only does 4Legs have a great taste that dogs love, but it's a complete and balanced food containing the vitamins and nutirents might be missing in other areas of your dog's diet.
Plus, 4Legs Home Cooked Varieties come in a great range of flavours, so you can try something new each week!
