Air travel has gone to the dogs – and cats!
Pet Airways has recently launched as America’s first pet-only airline, with cats and dogs as the only passengers.
Pets no longer have to travel in the cargo hold where they are subject to unstable temperatures and poor ventilation.
For $US150 pets get to travel in a carrier-lined cabin with a flight attendant who checks on each animal every 15 minutes.
Aside from the crew there are no humans on board, but owners can monitor their pet’s progress online.

Royal Dogs
he British Royal family is well known for their love of pets - especially dogs.
Portraits from the 17th Century onwards show king, queens and their children posing with their beloved animals and breeds are always varied, from pugs and greyhounds to spaniels and corgis. In some instances the pets have even had their own portraits!
In fact, so loved are some royal pooches that when Queen Victoria's beloved collie, Noble, died in 1887, he was buried on the grounds of Balmoral Castle and given a gravestone that read:
'Noble by name and by nature noble too
Faithful companion sympathetic true
His remains are interred here,'
King Edward VII had a terrier named Caesar who became renowned for outliving the king and walking behind the monarch's coffin during the funeral procession.
The current Queen is an avid fan of the corgi. The breed was introduced to the family by her father in 1933, when he bought home a corgi called Dookie.
On her 18th birthday, the Queen was given a corgi named Susan, from whom many successive royal dogs were bred. Some corgis were crossed with dachsunds to create the 'dorgi'.
Currently the Queen owns four corgis: Linnet, Monty, Will and Holly. She also owns four dorgis: Cider, Berry, Candy and Vulcan.

Star Gazing with Basil
Gemini
21 May - 21 June
Energetic, restless and excitable - you always know when there's a Gemini dog around. Very good communicators, a Gemini pooch will always let you know what's on their mind.
A favourite at the local dog park and always a quick thinker, this year the Gemini dog should concentrate on training their owner to spoil them rotten with lots of walks, treats and plenty of toys to keep them busy. In return, owners will have the pleasure of spending time with a loyal and eternal puppy who will always keep them amused.
